Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Speaktou account and the data associated with it.

Delete your account in Speaktou

Open Speaktou and go to Settings.
Select Delete account.
Review the warning and confirm. Google or Apple accounts may require you to authenticate again.

Deletion begins immediately after successful confirmation.

If you cannot access the App

Email rapheldorsoftware@gmail.com from the address connected to the account when possible. Include the sign-in method and account email or Apple relay email, if applicable, so we can verify ownership.

Never send your password, verification code, payment-card information, or private key.

Data deleted

Firebase Authentication account, including an anonymous guest account
Cloud-synchronized practice attempts, transcripts, pronunciation scores, dates, and durations
Cloud account metadata such as the last activity time
The current account's locally stored learning data on that device when deletion is completed in the App

Data not affected

Google Play or App Store purchase and transaction records managed by those stores
An active Premium subscription, which must be cancelled separately in the store
Records that must be retained for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance

Processing and retention

In-App deletion begins immediately. Verified email requests are normally completed within 30 days. We do not intentionally retain deleted cloud learning records. Limited security logs or backup copies may remain temporarily according to our service providers' retention practices, and legally required records may be kept for the required period.

Account-deletion request emails are normally removed within 30 days after completion, unless continued retention is needed for security, dispute resolution, or law.

Subscription reminder

Deleting a Speaktou account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. Cancel it separately through the subscription settings of the store where it was purchased.
